Author Bio

I was born in Germany, but am thoroughly English. In fact, I am almost 100% English and I have my DNA result to prove it. [Don’t mention the French little bit of me, though. Well actually it’s so small that it’s not worth a mention!]

I am the middle daughter of three, born to a Sheffield couple, and have lived in Sheffield almost all of my life.  I love the heritage of Sheffield, the history of steel, determination, and muck! I grew up being taught to be proud of my Sheffield background and my Yorkshire roots. Nothing wrong in that. I am a ‘Yorkshire Lass’.

I live in Derbyshire High Peak now, sharing my time with my husband, either in The Peak District which is our main home, or our gorgeous holiday home by the sea in Robin Hoods Bay.

I have written poems and short stories. A few have been published.

This website is part of my journey. Here you can find a couple of short stories, and some poems. You can also read a section from my novel Fires of Brigantia which is part of the Cartimandua Trilogy.  For updates on my latest novel Wild Brigantia check the blog!
