Blood of BRIGANTIA
The gods whisper. The earth watches. A queen makes her stand.
In the shadow of Rome’s advance and rebellion’s rise, Queen Cartimandua of the Brigantes must hold a kingdom cracking beneath ambition and divine reckoning. Her rule is a war torn crown, soaked in betrayal and bound by ancient bloodlines that reach into the mist.
Torn between the man she once loved and the goddess who never lets go, Cartimandua walks the knife-edge of survival, sacrifice, and sovereignty. As spirits stir in the hills and alliances rot beneath the surface, she must choose—submit to empire, defy the gods, or forge her own legend in the chaos of war.
Blood of Brigantia is a pulse-quickening fusion of myth and history, where fate is never silent and power is never pure. Raw, ritualistic, and richly atmospheric, it reveals the cost of command—and the fury behind a queen’s name.
“Blood of Brigantia provides a gripping conclusion to the story of Queen Cartimandua and her rule over Brigantia. As this third part of the Brigantia trilogy unfolds, it is clear that Tina’s writing has developed bringing a new richness to the characters and plot. The story is told in this part through the narrative of Mugh Ruith, Venutius and Cartimandua. The story is enhanced by this method, as it allows for the complexity of the main characters to be seen in the round through different perspectives.
As with the previous two instalments, the book represents a thoroughly well-researched insight into ancient Britain which is brought to life by a combination of the mysticism of the druids and the realities of civil war. The story delivers both tragedy and surprise in equal measure. One cannot help but feel for the plight of Cartimandua and the carnage resulting from her pursuit of vengeance against Venutius, blinded by her growing hatred of him and belief that her actions were in the best interests of Brigantia.
The story paints an engrossing picture of those devastating decisions. Blood of Brigantia reflects a story well-told of the drama of war and a personal tale of ambition, love, and betrayal. The writing is powerful and allows the reader to experience the story told from all perspectives which serves to enhance the character portrayal and the rich use of detail.
Overall, a thrilling end to the trilogy – can’t wait for Tina Zee’s next literary adventure!

“I have just finished reading “Blood of Brigantia,” taking extra time to revisit several chapters because I found the story so compelling. Wow, what a story!
As the concluding volume of your trilogy, it brings your epic tale to a magnificent conclusion. Your portrayal of Britain during the Roman invasion—a period so sparsely documented—demonstrates exceptional historical research while weaving in the mystical elements of Druid culture with remarkable authenticity.
The way you’ve developed your warrior queen protagonist throughout the three books shows masterful character development. She is a worthy queen of Albion.
Completing this trilogy represents an extraordinary achievement. The story really deserves a Game of Thrones budget to be made into a tv series. ”
