Romans invading Albion, struggle to take the largest tribal area of Brigantia. The Queen of Brigantia, hoping to keep her lands, allies with the invaders. The now - deposed consort King leads a large faction to rebel against this alliance. Civil war looms. Edric, a young rebel warlord and tribal chief, swears revenge for the slaughter of his father, who is beheaded by the Queen for insurrection. 

Edric is called home from a feast to the deathbed of his mother. Before he arrives home, a chance encounter throws the handsome warrior into a world of chaos, when he rescues a young girl from the clutches of a wild man. The union between Edric and the girl he has saved is pivotal to the future of Brigantia and Albion. Passion burns when they meet, but civil war places them on opposing sides.  How will their lives ever come together out of the chaos and deceit they find themselves wrapped up in? 



BOOK LAUNCH

The Druids arrived directly from the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge, for the book launch of ‘Fires of Brigantia’. What a wonderful day. The sun shone and many books were signed. Thank you to everyone who came along and bought a book or two.

Really enjoyed the book. Loved its storytelling of ancient British history and culture whilst weaving a story of love, trust, loyalty and bravery through its pages.

This is not my usual type of book.
It took a couple of chapters to get into the book then I couldn’t put it down.
I enjoyed the history of Yorkshire, the interesting characters, names and places.
